The design of new swift seems same as the current model. Thus, it is implemented with many sporty and stylish elements like a stretched-back headlamps, a Renault Pulse-like front grille floating roof, new wrap-around taillights and stretched-back headlamps. Also, the rear door handle has been moved towards the C-pillar as that of Chevrolet Beat. The new swift model looks more sporty and premium.

The diesel variant comes with a maximum power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm and the peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Petrol variant comes with a maximum power of 84.3 PS at 6000 rpm and the peak torque of 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. Both the variants comes with 5-speed manual transmission.
