Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the all-new MPV at an affordable price, the Ertiga. It is the cheapest MPV that is available in the market as of now. This MPV has come up with a completely fresh design in terms of interiors and exteriors. Along with the new look, it has been launched with some additional equipment and features.
When we are talking about the MPV's how can we forget one established player in the country that is Innova Crysta which was launched last year. It is one of the luxurious MPVs. It has come with the muscular design which provides the sporty and snazzy look.
If you are confused about which MPV to go for, here is a sneak-peak into the difference in both of these.
Exterior
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 is equipped with the new grille with chrome work, fog lamps, projector headlamps with LED DRL's, and a jazzy new bumper. A vertically stacked wraparound tail lights and a newly designed bumper is featured in the rear.
In Innova Crysta, the front comes up with the new projector headlamps, better quality fog lamps, 2 chrome strips with integrated LED DRL's along with the sharp lines. Sideline comprises of a lot of chrome inserts on the door handles, below the windows and on ORVM's further has 17 inches of alloy wheels. The rear design includes inverted LED tail lights, a shark-fin antenna, roof mounted spoiler and stylish bumper.
Interior
A seven-inch touchscreen smart infotainment system with apple car play and android auto is installed in Maruti Ertiga 2018. Some other features include electrically adjusted OVRM's with integrated turn integrators, dual tone cabin, steering mounting audio controls, MID with colored TFT screen, digital-analog instrument cluster, remote keyless entry and automatic climate control.
The Innova Crysta is loaded with the cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, premium leather seats, captain seats for the seven-seat variant, push-button (start/stop), cooled glovebox and many more.
Specifications
If we talk about Ertiga's petrol variant, it gives 1.5-litre engine which produces 105 bhp with 138 NM of peak torque. Whereas diesel variant comes up with 1.3-litre engine and churns out 90 bhp with 200 NM of torque peak. Smart hybrid technology is supported in both the engines. Both the variants have 5-speed manual transmissions but the option of an automatic gearbox is only available in petrol variant.
Innova Crysta has 3 engine options. The first one is 2.7-litre which comes in petrol. This engine produces 163 bhp and 245 NM of torque peak. The other option in diesel derivative is 2.4-litre which draws out the power of 148 bhp along with 343 NM of torque peak. The third option is in 2.8 litre which is also a diesel variant. It churns out 171 bhp and 360 NM of torque peak. Only 2.8-litre comes up with 6-speed automatic transmission whereas the 2.7-litre engine comes up in either 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. But in 2.4-litre engine, it is equipped with 5-speed manual transmission.
Price
The basic price of Ertiga is starting from 7.44 lakhs. On the other hand, Innova is quite expensive starting from 14.65 lakhs. Both the prices mentioned are Ex-showroom. If you want an MPV in the low budget then Ertiga should be considered over any other MPV but if budget is not an issue and you are looking for more comfort, then Innova would be the best option for you in.
